sup, i currently have a 2000 em-1. it has a b16 although it has no potential for ****. i want to build a motor for turbo.....i was thinking of going b18c1 turbo and building that engine instead of the b16. although my friend told me that in the end, they are all b series, it would be cheaper to just bore out the b16, gsr crank, etc....what do you think. im looking for the 350whp range.

well considering that the b16 has a smaller deck height than the b16, that might be a problem unless you have custom rods made which are $$$ or you get a deck plate installed.

 

Its not worth selling your motor and paying more for a b18c. 350whp is easily doable with a b16.

 

Keep the b16, you will have more than enough potential to make 350. Check out my sig, 503 is on a 84m b16

 

no point going one step higher when you have a nice platform to mess with
