Removing rust from drums??

i wanna paint my drums, but they're all rusted up. what should i use to clean them up???

i used some sand paper and some steel wool? (cant spell) and then i just primered them. came out looking good and its been over a year now and they still look the same

Sanding pad and an air grinder. Or, good old elbow grease.

or just get a steel brush works alot faster. oh and spray some brake cleaner after your done.
