Quick Release Exhaust
I saw a post awhile back with someone asking about quick release exhaust...here's one I just made for a friends VW.

2.5", dumps off right behind the subframe. Just made it out of some scrap that was laying around. Can get the catback off and this pipe on in about 5 minutes

Is that why burns sell them for so much because they're latched, not bolted?

Dang. I bought V-bands from SSAC on Ebay. I got some weird tapered flanged with a ID less than 2.5" (for a band advertised as 2.5") and I have no idea how to install them.
You can get vbands a few different places...www.atpturbo.com and http://www.burnsstainless.com right off the top of my head. The burns ones are very nice from what I see
The exhaust comes off everytime he goes to the track, so about 3-4 times a month.

I ended up using the SSAC flanges without any trouble. They looked too thick to weld but I was able to get a perfect bead with my Clarke MIG130.

Not bad considering they are only $35 shipped.
