Ok me and a couple friends are helping out a pretty clueless kid we know. We are a little stumped now, I have done a search and looked through the FAQ and still had no luck.

His car is a 98 4 door AUTO civic. We put in a 99 GSR engine and it will not start. The wiring to the engine from the ecu is correct etc, but since it was an auto now the keys will not come out of the ignition. Does anyone know the correct wiring the auto swap? Supposedly we have to change some wiring behind the dash and around the console. Could someone please shine some light on this for me because frankly im sick of helping him out..... hell hes on this website and hes too dumb to be able to search.

 

well if its the same for the civics as accords you do this

Clutch safety switch goes to L and M
Reverse switch from tranny goes to G and H
Jump F and I to take your key out (just tie them together)

 

Ok cool now as long as the accord and civic are same we will be set..... does anyone know if they are the same?
