question about replacing cabin filter 99 accord, please help
i've looked for information around the internet and found a way to do it, but for some strange reason, the glovebox won't slide out after i remove all the screws. there are 4 screws inside the glovebox (open the glovebox, 2 in the center by the hook and 1 on each side behind plastic covers), then below the glovebox there are 2 support beams. the upper beam has 3 screws that hold the glovebox (left center right) and the lower support beam has 1 screw in the center. i've removed all these but the glovebox won't come out. am i missing something ? i did also remove the center dash cover (radio) and noticed there was a screw directly below the glovebox switch. i had not removed that, i wasn't sure if it's holding the glovebox also.
in all my venturing around the interior of this car i've never ran into a problem before. if there was a bentley manual that would've been nice.

Try http://www.helminc.com, they publish the GOOD manual for Hondas.
I don't remember all the screws, but I do remember that it took a fair amount of wiggling & flexing to get the glovebox out. It didn't just drop right out when I had all the fasteners out. Maybe I had to lift it & tilt it towards me or something like that?

... or you can pick up a Haynes manual for ~ $13, it gave me good instructions on how to swap out the cabin filter. I do remember it being such a pain in the *** when I did it at 30,000 miles on my '99 LX that I decided to wait until 90,000 miles to swap it out again.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Helms is a much more complete manual, but for basic tinkering and things like the cabin filter, the Haynes manual works fine. And it's much cheaper.
By the way, when I read about the reference to the Bentley manual, I was thinking Volvos...
