When i turn on my DA in da morning it turns on cold at 1700, when its warm it averages from 900-700rpm. At this low rpm the car shakes a little bit, when i rev the motor to approx 1300 it stops and everythign runs smooth. The mounts are gone, I know that is a problem, but a vapor leaks from my exhaust everytime my car idles for a while. I just let it sit there and by the time i know it ders like black water on the ground. It smells like gas. Everything has been maintained, New intake, oil change, new oil filter, new spark plugs, wire, dizzy, new timing belt, new radiator, so its nothing like a maintenece problem .Can it be that my fuel is running too rich? I was told that I have to adjust my valves soon, by a mechanic but i dont think thats the problem either. The car has 178XXX miles on it. let me knwo what you guys think. thanks

i'm curious cause I have a bad vibration also at idle. I think mine is just the motor mounts. you say your's is shot so that could be the source of your problem.

where is this "fuel" puddling? check for leaks with your injectors. have you played with the timing at all?

 

try using some seafoam

 

do you mean its a VERY bad shaking/vibration or just a simple vibrating steering wheel and such? cause my DA's steering wheel vibrates at idle also and when i use the headlights, but i would assume it normal for a 13 year old car with 157,xxx.

 

its not a shaking that is violent or anything, its just a little shake. The car or anything does not shake, it is the mirrors,sterring wheel, and you can feel it slightly in the seats. The "puddle" is forming right under my exhaust. It just spits it out a little. I did not mess with the timing, and my fuel injectors have been rebalanced recently.
