I just recently bought a motor with a mugen valve cover on it. I was curious as to how I tell if this is real and how much its worth if it is real.

 

You can tell by how round the the edges are, amoungst other things. Post up some pics, and we can help you out much better.

i believe they say that if the studs are directly over the and "N" it is fake, as where the authentic m00gen vc's have the studs in between the "EN"...

Side note: anyone care to explain why a Mugen VC is actually worth ~$800 other than m4d tyt3 jDm pR0p$ y0???

 

theres a picture of me holdin a mugen valve cover in super street magazine. 1998 if you can find it. lol. its real. i dont think they had fake stuff like that yet.

flip it over and youll see why, fakes dont have oil baffles.

that still doesnt justify 800 god damn dollars.

 

If its too much then dont buy it. I hate when people come on here and bitch about prices. Whats the point, you arent going to convince mugen to price it lower?

and also expressing peoples crazyness to spend $800 on a metal valve cover...

 

Always wondered the same thing...now I know.
