Default 9Gs TO Spend What integra is Good for the money

Hello all, Im new to posting here, I got 9K cash to drop on a teg, I really wanted a 00 or 01 but Everyone is asking 11.5 for them which is out of my range, Anyone know the diff between a 98 and a 00 or a 96 and a 98
I really know nothing about the car bodystyles Im originally a toyota fan but I want an integra so I can mod it cheap and Plus I love the way they look
ANyhow If anyone knows what year would be good In your opinion or what the differences in the years are and what they changed I would greatly appriciate it. Oh ya it has to be 94 or newer bodystyle.
Thanks A Lot!
{edit}
Probly LS body trim or GS Definatly not and RS

94-97 have different bumpers front and rear from the 98-01. That's mainly it for the body.

I'll let other chime in about the mechanical stuff....they'll know better than me.

94 and 95 have the OBD1 which I've heard is better for aftermarket mods, but don't quote me on this.

Also, look into a GS-R if you can afford it. My first teg was a LS, but I always regreted getting it over a GS-R. I now have a 00 GS-R and I'm very happy.

buy a 94+ GSR, should be around 4.5K (100k-130kish). Then with the rest of your money you can get all the mods you'll need.

You'll be happy with that GSR

i would just get a cheap 94-95 LS, sell the tranny and buy either an ITR tranny or GSR tranny, buy a turbo kit or piece one together. best bang for the buck if you ask me. but you've really got to know your **** if you ever decide to do this, so i would suggest you hold on to your Greens and study for awhile before you jump head first.

BTW, i've found 94~97 LS' for under $2500 around my area before, so i'm sure you can do the same. get one for that much, pull the motor out for a full rebuild and turbo.

94-95 gsr, obd1 ecu and is cheapest to modify engine set-up in years.
ls is best for forced induction because of low compression.
itr-way outta price range
gsr-look around...not outta range and has more power then base model.

my opinion, gsr, unless going super charger or turbo cuz you like the pshhh sound.

I'd go that way. Find a cheap-*** '94 LS, pull out the motor, build it, boost it and then tune it. Spend the rest on other stuff (suspension, wheels/tire, interior, exterior, etc...)

yup, get a 94 ls, and boost the hell out of it.

gs-r would run you a lot more with insurance and also a much higher theft rate.

spend 2-3 g's on a DA
keep it simple and clean...
spend money on suspension, good tires and rims...
keep the rest of the cash for a rainy day....

i'd look for a 94+ integra...regardless of what model it is.....use a little of that extra money for mods, and the rest towards investments. Dont mind me, I'm just all about investments these days! LOL

as some others have said, grab a 94-97 gsr and add to it. IMO, the type r lip makes these body styles look better than 98+. You can have an amazing car for that $ depending upon your goals. have fun!

Its up to you. The only difference between 94-97 and 98+ Integra's is bumper and ECU like said before. Im not sure why you have your heart set on a 00 and 01. You can get a 98 that is basically the same car.

I dont think you'll find a lot of people who will agree with you. Ive yet to see someone with a 98+ end who decided to swap for a 94-97 front end because it looks nicer.

I'm pretty much on the same boat as you, but I'm looking for a 94-95 GSR. I'm in Iraq so I have plenty of time to look.
