So I go to UTI, a teacher hates hondas, I need some vids
I go to UTI here in avondale(phoenix) arizona. My friend is in the Power and Performance classes now and his teacher swears that no honda can run 10 sec quarter mile, have full interior and be driven on the street, and if all these are possible it has to have at least 60-70k into the car.
Now im honestly not much of a honda guy, mostly dsms and mr2's, but this just pisses me off...most of the teachers here are die hard domestic drag racers.
So, what I need is some videos of the cars above, with mod list and a pic of the time slip if you have it, or even better a video of the car running at the drag strip and maybe even the street. Not trying to feed the domestic/import war, just wanting to laugh at an old ignorant man

lol, uti..which teacher do u have? mr. combs is a cool guy had him wayyy back at the old campous and he respects imports cause one of my friends put down the most hp for a import at uti for student dyno at the end of phase. he likes them and knows they have a lot of power n shyt. damn almost a year since i grad from there. lol

which instructor is this?? when i was in hot-rod U my intructor liked imports. this was about 2 and a half years ago though. my class was the guys that blew the single cam motor in the civc cuz we forgot to put the jets on the nitrous fogger /sarcasm
you should of seen the dyno graph....200 torque before it blew

I had two friends take that class and one taking it now.
on of my friends who took it before was telling me how the teachers
were saying that honda's couldn't make power on the dyno...
so i guess he knew jojo callos and asked him to show them what's up...
he brought in his huge trailer and took out the integra (back then)
and put down over 600+ ....this was back then too.
now the buddy that goes there now said he is hearing smack so he is building
a motor just cuz of that and he invited us to run our car
at fontana since they are having a UTI day at the track..
he wants to show them what's up.
LOL i can't wait.

i went to wyotech and i would have to say its the same crap there. i was lucky enough to have some instructors that some what liked imports and had some videos on hand but every instructor i met didnt know much about imports.
i had mr. cobbs too. hes a cool guy. all uti teachers hate imports. my civic made 198 whp NA on the dyno in street legal performance, and my teacher still broke my *****! bonkers

I went to UTI in Orlando. It was straight for a while but then I had all these stupid kids and the teacher that were all about domestic cars try to tell me and I quote ........."YOU CAN'T HAVE A HONDA WITH 300hp AND DRIVE IT AS A DAILY DRIVER" Now how should I feel about the teaching there. No matter how I tried to tell them that its facts not opinions that I'm trying to tell them, they wouldn't believe me. FOOLS. just my two cents, yo

Hmm, got an idea. Get a Fox body mustang shell, build up a turbo em1 running 10's, slip the fox body shell on it, then tell em its a built SVO mustang. Then let them praise it and right then pop the hood and reveal the H badge.

the si has full interior and is driven on the street every day, goes like 10.7 @ 140 in the video (one thats a few months old) and I think the slick hit the bumper so thats why its off in that one caues they had the front bumper on for most of the day (if I remember right, that was a long day at the track)

Why do that? Get a Essingler Cylinder Head and drop it on that very solid 2.3L block. If your really crazy get a stroker kit for it and punch it out to 2.7L
You'll need to fab up a new intake manifold and exhaust manifold but its worth it
When you done there, call up Precision for a huge turbocharger. Plug in an AEM ECU and you'll have just about 1,000hp.

Yeah UTI has its ups and downs. I graduated back in January
mr combs is one of the coolest teachers, but i have meant the ones that if u even mention the word import they get all butt hurt.
yeah my friend billy is the one that made the most there with his integra back in the day. i think he made just over 300hp
