After i get my tail lights out, i want to take the lens off of the black part so i can paint the amber turn signal. How do i pull the colored lens off without cracking it?

 

Why do you need to take it apart to paint it?

 

just used transparent red paint and spray it over the amber....

 

i dont want spary on the outside, i want to spray on the inside, unless its not possible to take apart the lights

 

Preheat the oven for a while on 350*. Then place the taillight in for 10 minutes making sure its on the middle level. Pull it out, and it will be hot. The glue on the back will be pliable. Use a screwdriver to pry the plastic, but it is breakable, so be careful. Then, you can either paint it all red or paint the black part of the reflector white or silver to get the JDM Integra look.

 

if you spray it on the inside it will just look like a darker amber, its not clear, it is orange plastic.
