Default Another NewB(To Honda anyways)

Hey everyone,

I am 100% new to Honda and these boards. I have a few questions before I get started on my Accord project.

First of all how can I tell what motor I have? I have a 1997 Accord LX 5spd

Next, does anyone have any experience with the Apex'i WS2 exhaust for an Accord? And if so do you have a sound clip or can you comment on it?

Lastly, who makes a good solid performing short shifter for the Accords.

Please answer any of these questions that you can.

Any help is grealty appreciated.

Ryan

To your first question: F22. Look at the engine code on your block to the left of the header. At Honda Tech, search is the first thing you should do before you post, or other people will say *****.

for short shifters the two popular choices for accords are the pspec and forbidden,

http://www.pspectuning.com

http://www.forbiddenmotorsports.com

both are supposed to be very good

there is some info in the basic guide to accords about the world sports, and a simple search could probably turn up a good bit of info, its been discussed a few times.

yeah yeah, **** that search ****, i know all about it from my Nissan forums.

I was just asking, didnt have the time to do a search.

Thanks for the responses.

I'll look into those shifters, ive heard the WS2 is quiet but has a nice tone, what I really want is a sound-clip if anyone knows where to find one or can make one for me.

Search in appearance/cosmetic, there was an exhaust thread going on for a while there.
