Default ACT Clutch

Im building an all motor ls vtec with a gsr tranny. I have a act 4 puck clutch and was wondering if it will engage too hard. If it will would a 6 puck be any better?

from what i hear the 4 puck might be alittle chattery but shouldn't bite too hard. i have the 6 puck on my car and it works fine on the street. takes alittle getting used to but works.

you have the disc but havint run it in anything?

yea i have the unsprung disc but haven't used it yet. i can trade the 4 puck with some cash for a turbo and buy a 6 puck or just keep the 4 puck. just need the clutch buy this weekend and if the 4 puck won't be bad i'll keep it, i can still get the turbo.

yeah i dont think it would be too bad. i've known a few guys to run the 4 puck on the street without any issues other than a tired leg in traffic.

what pressure plate are you using?

i had the 4 puck sprung, and its was easy to drive....compared to the 6 puck, you gotta learn to drive with the six puck, it just thrusts you forward, and if your not careful...whiplash
