if you go bigger than 15's, your handling actually goes down because the tires can't conform to the road enough for bumps. (on our cars at least). plus, if you go bigger, its hard to find tires that are the right outside diameter for the gearing, and they have more rotational intertia.
15s for sure, the only way I would go with 16s, is if I got the tiniest tires. Like 205/40s
And of course next to a nice drop.

I heard about this a long time ago. It has to do with gearing. A wheel is one more gear any way you look at it. In fact, why do you think speedos are thrown off (even by .1 mph) by aftermarket/bigger wheels?
I always thought of this being true, but one might not always be right.

its only common sense. the smaller the rim the quicker it would take to accelerate. but it really wouldnt matter if you had a lot of hp to the wheels, probably wouldnt even notice.

Definantly 15's, UNLESS your planning on having a kit that hangs pretty low. 16's would fill it out better, but for stock 15's are fine.
thats what i run 15x6.5 - 205/50/15 Yoko ES100's

Thank you guys......I've been telling the wife this for her 90 CRX as well. 15's rock on the 88-91 Civic and CRX's.
Now sorry to thread jack, but I'm wondering if 15" TE-37 look any good?

205/50/15 in front and 195/50 15 in rear. good setup. or 195/50/15 on all 4.
sidewall stiffness and tread design. In order Yokohama AVS ES100 being the best. for the 195/50/15 sizes
Yokohama AVS ES 100, , Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, Kumho ECSTA Supra 712, Dunlop SP Sport FM901
i'm really not a fan of 205/50 on 15s. i wish they made falken azenis in 195/50/15 because they would be my favorite, stiff walls and nice tread design.
