ok, I want to paint my S MC blue or Berlina black, I talked to Duc at spugen and he quoted me 2100 for whole car+engine bay. My question is how close is this quality paint compared to the stock paint ? Has anyone got a paint job there,what about Mob works in O.C. ?Thanks in advance

 

i don't imagine they make their own paint.... its probably dupont,ppg, etc.....

2100 sounds fairly inexpensive, esp. including the engine bay......

but, you never know......

is there a labor charge to remove the engine and components, aside from the $2100?

 

you asked for engine bay? that's where the dough starts to add up very very quickly. the dollar amount and quality of the shop will pay off in the long run. a 500 paint job looks like a 500 paint job.

 

They do use ppg paint, and he told me it was 1800 w/o engine bay,so the 2100 seems like the way to go,he said when doing the engine bay they just lift the motor and spray they dont remove the whole engine. ~~~ Anybody know about the quality of their paint jobs ???Any info about theirs or mob works' paint jobs would be helpful. oh yeah cmdr430, 2100 is for the complete job.

they spray over all the wires, harnesses, etc.... in the bay

that should tell you their quality right there........

 

a few ppl on s2ki have gotten paint jobs from them. ask there if you can
