Well I was just wondering in 5th gear at 4500 rpm on the cluster tach what speed are you guys at?

 

At 80 mph, a bone stock USM ITR (with 4.4 FD) will turn 4378 RPM in fifth gear, an otherwise stock USM ITR with the 4.785 JDM FD will turn 4760 RPM in fifth gear, and an otherwise stock USM ITR with the 4.9 ATS FD will turn 4875 RPM in fifth gear. These are actual RPM figures, not adjusted for tachometer error. The ITR tach generally reads higher than actual. Other factors can account for error, too; for example, the difference in tire diameter between a new tire and a worn tire is about 2 percent (this affects actual road speed, but not the relationship between revs indicated on the tach and speed indicated on the speedometer). With a number of such variables thrown in, it's difficult to identify and analyze a rev difference as small as 125 RPM.

I would say you would be running about 77 mph.

Not sure if that is right mathematically, but I think that about what I observed the last time I was experimenting.

You should get one. They are awesome and make driving lots more fun, even on the highway.
