what the hell? wheel bearings?
yesterday i started noticing wierd squeaking like bad brakes, but then the car started vibrating BAD where i could hardly drive it. only when i got on the brakes hard would the vibration stop. moving at all or on the brakes a little and it feels like the whole steering rack is about to fall out....that bad. does anyone know if this is possibly the wheel bearing that broke or what. oh yeah, i went to take the tire off to check it out and broke 2 lug bolts off, so got pissed and said **** it. last night i was so mad, i would have given the crx away to anyone.
sounds like your lugnuts came loose. that was your problem. and thats why they broke off. not really a wheel bearing problem, but could have damaged them as a result.
let me reiterate, your conclusion that your wheel bearings are the problem is wrong.

have u jacked up the car and looked under? my wheel bearings are in crap condition but it only makes a clunking noise when i drive i guess try to look under see if anythig is unusual
i checked and even tried to tighten the nuts first cause i thought that's what it was. but then it didn't go away and even got worse. the nuts broke cause the ******* were rusted as **** on there. so basically with the wheel tight on there it was still bad.
rusted? they typically dont rust. if they were hard to remove, then they got seized, typically from being loose.
ive had my share of loose lugnuts. the fact that your lugnuts were siezed are pretty good indication that was the problem.
check your balljoints and tie rods too.
but its the suddeness of the problem that leads me to think your wheel just became loose. a wheel bearing doesnt just suddenly go bad like that.

yeah, especially since i had pep boys put new bearing in 2 yrs ago. i guess i'll get the other 2 nuts off and then what? i have to take the hub off to put new wheel bolts in right? but don't i have to press the bearing out to do that? (that's the reason i put new bearings in the first time...i had to replace broken studs)

yeah, youre going to have to press the hub out again to replace your wheel studs. the bearings dont HAVE to be replaced. it would be obvious though when you do press the hub out if your bearing is ok since most likely the inner race will come apart and youll see all the internals of the bearing. you can check your wheel bearing then. if its SO bad that it caused your wheel to shake... then your ball bearings are going to be liquid... so just repalce your wheel studs, check your bearings, put it all together and tighten your lugnuts correctly and see if the problem is still there.
