Default 89 civic 4 sale

Im planning on buying a 1989 civic dx hatchback for $500. AT w/ 179,000mi. What should i look for to make sure its not a p.o.s.

1. Rust
2. Leaking fluids
3. Accident damage
4. How it drives
5. Auto shift properly
6. Interior
7. Overall Condition

But for $500 I probably wouldn't be to picky, but it can be a pain to switch from Auto to 5 Speed keep that in mind if that is a future plan.

just make sure you give it a good road test. make sure it doesn't overheat or burn oil. find out if timing belt has been changed. when you get back from test drive, park in a driveway where you can see if it leaks
