CRX HELP
Just got a 91 CRX with a b16a swap. I was told NO problems. 1 day later clutch went out . I asked owner was there any clutch problems and told there were none. The shop said pressure plate was to the revets. New clutch now but VERY hard to push down like before VERY hard to push down, I thought the new clutch would take care of this. I'm starting to question if this swap was done right to begin with. I wondering if he was getting out of a mess he made I'm starting to find more stuff wrong that he said was right. But, what do you think could be wrong with clutch...like i said very hard to PUSH. ?????
Its a cable clutch, so unless the cable is binding somewhere, the increased pedal pressure should be because of the stiffness of the pressure plate. Did you go with a stock-style replacement?
They 1st ordered stock CRX clutch and would not fit. He just told me it was a LUKE clutch for that engine. Also , I asked him about cable. he said that checked that while replacing clutch and no binding or twisting.??
