Odd issue that I haven't noticed before.

This morning when I started up my car, my instrument cluster started flashing very faintly. As if someone was switching the light on/off really really fast.

Is this normal? Are my batteries dying? I had it replaced ~1.5 years ago with a new one. My car is an '02.

 

Make sure you have all of the blinker grounds grounded tightly. I had some problems with VERY eratic blinker function(when the blinker was on, the insturment cluster would blink instead of the light bulb...lol.
Mine came loose in the trunk from a stereo system and a very loud(rattly) exhaust.
Check the trunk ground, and both the grounds by the headlights.

 

^ cluster would blink instead of the turn signal bulb?? hahahahahaha.... now thats some funny stuff....

 

not the ENTIRE cluster, just the dimmer when the headlights turn on

 

not sure we're talking about the same thing.

my entire instrument cluster kinda fades in and out faintly. not really noticeable until you stare at it.

blinkers have nothing to do with this. not sure why that was brought up
