Default Stiff Clutch Pedal.

Hey,

I have a 90 Civic with a 1st gen b16 swap. My clutch pedal has become so hard to push down lately, and has been making squeaking noises. It was so stiff, that the actual arm of the clutch pedal from the pressure snapped off. I had to replace the pedal set. Anyways, I was thinking the cause of the stiffness might be the clutch cable. What do you guys think? Or do you think it's something else like a throwout bearing?

Thanks for looking.

Oh, and another thing, the cable I would order would be from a 90-93 Integra correct?

Ya I know, but I think I remember reading somewhere that if you use the Integra one, I won't have any shortening to do.

Thanks guys for your help.

you can use either one, integra or civic.....what i did was just used the civic one and flipped the bracket upside down that holds the cable right above the tranny....where it is tightened...that worked fine..

Hehe..

I was surprised the pedal went before the cable did.

Once again, thanks for everyones input. The cable was ordered yesterday and will be in today.

mine does the same thing, but if I loosen the cable, I don't have much pedal pressure (little to none). same problem? twisted up?
