Ok... this is what is happening with my car. I have a JDM B16 in it. It has ran good for a year and a half never any problems. But here lately right when i crank it up or if I am at low RPM's and I am just barely accelerating the car kinda sputters. I guess that would be the best word to use. I havent replaced anything yet because I would rather only replace one thing. I am not sure if the fuel pump is kicking off or if I just have a dirty fuel filter or what. I had a problem with my old engine one time because everyonce and a while the car leaks after a hard rain right on the driver side where the water disposal hose is for the sun roof. So it leaks right about the main relay. well it use to mess up and cut the fuel pump in and out. Could it still be that or what. Give me your idea. thanks.

 

try replacing the fuel filter and check to make sure you have somewhere between 30-40 pounds of fuel pressure. if that doesnt work try to check your fuel pressure regulator.

 

I'd go through the distributor also, check the cap & rotor condition, make sure the rotor is on tight.

I always pull the plugs when there's trouble, even though it never seems to reveal anything groundbreaking
