Im building a B-20 Vtec motor for a customer and will be running the Supertech pistons w/rings that were sent. The bore is 3.327. Anyone had any experience with these pistons/rings? The gap on the top ring is close to what i want but the 2nd ring is way off. Anyone have any feedback?

 

i have had the same problem i will ask ***** for you or give them a call 408 448 2001. ask for *****

 

UPDATE!!!
Second set of rings... Top ring checks out ok and im able to file fit it. 2nd ring is still too big. This **** is fusterating. Anyone know of any other rings i can use on these pistons?

 

have you tried to call supertech and speak to them about it.....Im sure ***** will be more then happy to try and help you out with your problem

3rd Set of Rings... I give up. Im talking to the guys over at Total Seal to get me a set.

Im needing to run .017 Top and .019 2nd ring

1st set of rings.
Top ring was .019
Second ring was .025

2nd set
Top ring .014 (useable)
Second ring 3 @.025, 1@.019

3rd set
Didnt check top
Second ring .024

***** has been nice on the phone but I dont understand why they cant admit there is a problem. They act as if this is the first time ever for this to happen. I paid over-night shipping on 1 set of rings. They covered the shipping on one of the other sets. Ill never use these pistons again.
BTW The Bore Size on the motor is right on Spec.
