I am planning on getting tint for my 99 Civic coupe and I was wondering what % I should get? I know in VA the legal limit is 35% but I had 20 on my previous car and never got pulled over. The darkest I will go is 20% Also should I get the same percent all the way around besides the windshield or get the quarter windows darker than the door windows?

I ran it before also and it was pimp. I know it is kinda hard to see at night. I want 20% but I am afraid cops are going to be ********.

 

anyone know what % tint type r's come with? its like a silverish metallic glow from one angle and black from another.

 

im also in va and fiy some va cops are real *** holes about super dark tint around the fairfax and........pretty much every other area, so be careful with your choice

If you get 20%, they WILL pull you over in VA. Trust me. Yes, the legal limit is 35%, but that's only on the back windows. The two front windows can only have 50% tint on them. I'd go with the legal limit.

id say tint them, but dont tint front windows. they kinda suck at night looking out of them, or backing up, unless its warm out then u can roll your windows down.

No matter what tint you have they are going to be ********. If they cant completely see you your screwed... and the whole point of tint is to block sun and not have everything inside of your car able to be seen.

Id go with 35% though. It looks best without being too dark

 

tinting is gay. j/k it looks good on an suv and trucks.

I had 20% on my previous car and never got pulled over for the tint. I dont think I got pulled over at all in that car and if I did they never mentioned it.

hell yeah, probably two cans of black spray paint should cover all the windows, make sure you do the windshield with two coats.....


i put legal florida limit on mine cause sun sucks and fades your interior.

I say 20%. Not too dark and cops dont tend to harass you about it. Oh and I'm 99% sure thats NOT 35% on that integra, thats definetly darker.

If you would have looked a little closer you would have seen that I said it was 20%

Here in TX the legal limit is %5 in the rear, and %25 in the front.
