Default So I got a turbo for free... with a 1.15 A/R exhaust housing

What to do what to do The cold side is a .60 A/R and the hot side is a HUGE 1.15 A/R. Looking for options and or opinions about possibly switching housings (exhaust of course)... Any suggestions?

BTW- I traded a 38mm Tial (extremely old and used) for it.

Well... if this is for a supra I say go for it. If it's not, then I would sell it and get a much smaller turbo.

It would help if you let us know what the set-up is for.

It's for a built H22a actually... I was just wondering about exhaust housing options? I did the whole Google search but came up empty... I'll probably end up selling it though.

Your best bet is to sell it. I would go with a 60-1 .60a/r compressor with a t350 stage 5 .82 t3 turbine. That will make some nice power.

Put it on, test it out and report back.

I had 1.00 a/r on my 81mm lsvtec and it spooled around 5000. After 5000 rpm, car was hard to control. I would just slap it on and have fun.

I present the turbo:

P/N: 1822775C92
S/N: FEM14339

1.10 A/R compressor side
10 blade

1.15 A/R exhaust side
10 blade

No shaft play, less than 500 miles after fresh rebuild just over a year ago.

Any questions, PM me.

Jason

Hummmmm..... how would this turbo do on a built b16? where would full boost be at (rpm wise) compared to smaller turbos?

It would do full boost about 500rpm past redline.

Personally, seeing as how little money you have tied up in it, I'd just get a new exhaust housing. Perhaps a .63 or MAYBE a .82, but my .82 doesn't spool up till around 5k on my f22. Your H22 would probably hit it a little earlier.

That's what I was thinking as well... but I wanted other (other than mine) opinions... I'll try to go on though
