Quarter Mile Times
What is the record 1/4 mile time for a 4th/5th gen Lude without a motor swap? Im using a Supra term, but with BPU (headers, exhaust, intake...ect) what times would you be looking at then? How good is the handling for a Lude? Sorry for so many questions, but thank you.

He ran a 14.39 - very good; hardly believable. From the pictures of his car he had added weight too. That time can be slimmed down a lot.

I had a mid 13 second N/A car on street tires, just only got a 13.90 run before I did a bunch more stuff, then blew up. never had a chance to get my mid 13 timeslip.
1993 vtec, 14.2-14.1@96mph on slicks. All bolt-ons, minor weight reduction, full leather interior. Never once opened that motor, 145k miles
[edit...........Then the turbo came and it went by-by in 20 mins...

That is a ton of mods for the time it seems. I guess Im used to a few hundred $$'s making a significant difference in hp and time slips. The Lude seems like a great car despite of that, I guess I need to take a step out of my 2JZGTE world

Actually.,
If you look carefully
at my setup, you see where it says 14.52 BEFORE BUILD UP that means before I went into the motor! Which means that when I only had I/H/E/VAFC, that's what that means......... take some time to read before you post. I haven't run the car yet after I went into the motor ie; cams/camgears/pistons/p&p/clutch/flywheel/etc (Awaiting Dyno Tuning & Local Track to Open)!

I don't see where it says BEFORE BUILD UP on that post...but my mistake, what are looking on getting now? I see low, low 13's, possibly even 12's
if you continue to read (tsik tsik) he says
Before 14.53@96.33mph
Now 13.??@??.??mph
so obviously hes hoping for 13's... 12's are unreachable with his mods.
and for my 1/4th, with intake only 14.8

You do know that back seats weigh under a pound, right? That's in leather.
aaah its cool, it never hurts to give your thoughts on the scenario. I was saying that not to be a d!ck, but to point out that most people, including me at one point, think that the rear seats are a good way to remove weight. Once you're in there, you realize they're nothing but a molded piece of foam!

The typical times for Lude owners with similar mods in CA and TX are in the 14.5-14.7 range.
