Default H brace

i tried to post this before but i didn;t get much response to it. i have an H brace coming tomorrow in the mail and i wanted to know what i need to do to install it. do i need all 4 wheels up off the ground. should i take it too a shop to do it and not bother doing it myself? where exactly is the lower control arm and the other 2 places it bolts onto. does it go under the middle of the car or under the motor? throw anything at me i need all the info i can get. thanks

I have one installed and its pretty easy to install. I only took me about an hour to put on and you only need the front of the car in the air. It would help though to have another jack to help you realign the control arms that you have to take the bolts off of. It actually goes under the car pretty much under the carriage. You will need to loosen the two big bolts that help hold up the engine brace and then the two bolts that belong to the control arms. Once you fit it, you will see where it goes, and you will understand my young grasshoppa. hehe, it actually helped me out a bit too, I don't feel as much body roll as I did before

i did get it on. it took me about an hour too. it was HELL getting the bolts back into the control arm. of my god was that difficult. i had to have my dad push the bottom of the tire in so i could use the pry bar with one hand and try to shove the bolt in with the other. almost didnt make it. but its done and it actually made a BIG difference with mine and im happy with it. anyone want less body roll and better handling i would reccomend this strongly. 40 bucks total for a generic ebay one. not bad at all. thanks for all your help....gerry

Yes I also have a 'H-brace' that I purchase off of ebay. I wound up CUTTING off the trailing arms of the brace because the fitment was SO HORRIBLE. Until a reputable brand comes out with a quality h-brace, I wouldnt bother purchasing the poor fitment, chinese made ones off of ebay.
