Small issue, not really:

My brake lights, Horn, Cruise Control, and Drivers Door Lock Switch do not function properly. From what i gather from the manual, they are all on the same circuit. i have replaced all fuses and brake light bulbs, checked all pigtails and wires coming to them in the trnk, as well as replaced the brake light switch. Everytime i hit the brakes, it pops the horn fuse under the hood, which is a 15amp, number 41 i believe. It shares the horn and brake light circuits.

Im thinking the issue is a short somewhere, which is probably in the brake light circuit, which would also let the cruise not work if the car thinks the brakes are always on

Anyone have this problem? i didnt have time to test all the connectors tonight, and wont be able to get to my multimeter till this weekend,, please advise o wise and merciful prelude gods

what was the problem?

 

a bodyshop that painted the decklid had removed the right taillight, and when they put it back in had smashed the rear harness against a mounting bolt, which allowed two taillight wired to melt/weld/short ti it...i replaced those burnt sections of wire and voila
