Default For those of you with jdm h22's

My question is i noticed on my 94 jdm h22 there is no coolant temperature sensor mounted in the water outlet. I saw one on the thermostat housing and one in the cylinder head. The outlet is on the front of your block where the upper radiator hose connects to and by the distributor. I have a 94 s which i will be swapping for the h22. I have an obd1 h23 engine harness( i know ill have to wire vtec so dont flame) and will be using the jdm P13 ecu. As far as i know the usdm h22's have a coolant temp sensor located in the water outlet piece(i think its a green connector). I will be doing the swap in a month or so and just wanted to plan ahead . So will i be okay running my engine without this sensor because if i use the jdm P13 it wont be looking for the coolant temp sensor mounted in that spot? Anyone had this problem and any help would be appriciated.

Steve

The JDM H22 does have two coolant temperature sensors. Both are located next to each other on the left hand side of the cylinder head. One has a two pin connector with a green plug (this one is for the ECU) and the other is a single pin sensor used by the dash temperature guage.

The connector on the thermostat housing, is the fan switch.

Hope this helps.
