Default CRX wide body/ 5 lug conversion/ rims

Hey guys. I have been working on my 90 CRX for the last few months installing the black widow II wide body kit, along with some custom fabricated pieces. The problem I am having is finding 4 lug rims that will be wide enough for the kit . I am planning on 18 tall by 8.5 in front and 9.5 or 10 in the rear migh thave to use a wheel spacer too. I can find rims in 5 lug; so i was wondering what parts are neaded- from what cars - to convert the crx to 5lug. I read through topics here and saw it was mentiond but the parts where never pinpointed. I'm new to this Honda stuff (been messing with chevys since i was 12) so any help is greatly aprreciated. Thanks for your time.

Take your hubs to a maching shop, have them pull out the existing studs and dowel them. Once that is done have them tap for your 5 lug pattern, it will save you a lot of money.

Sorry to burst your bubble but putting wider wheels in the rear is just stupid and pointless, IT'S FRONT WHEEL DRIVE, and 18's are way to big for a crx.

yeah 18s are too big for a rex but this guy is doing a wide body kit and without wider rims it will look retarded and I don't think he cares about the cars performance you know how these ricers are "all show no go".......but hey you might want to get a wheel spacer as well to widen your cars stance......

hey, car looks like its coming along alright.. alot of work, i know i did mine too.. i wouldn't recommend going with wider rims if i were u, but u can get spacers here... http://airbagit-store.com/prod...d=513.. i had about a 3 1/2 inch cap in the back so i went with the 4 to 4 hole spacer, 4HOL 100MM TO 4HOL 100MM X3.00", they ran about 69 bucks a piece i didn;'t think my front needed spacers so i just got it for the back..

Thanks for the wheel spacer/lug converter site . I can probly make something from there work- plus the prices arn't to bad; likewise i will need spacers eitherway so this could save a step. I got this crx for $300; it was rolled, hit in the front, and in the rear . Every pannel on the thing was ruined so i figured the wide body kit would be a good choice. I have the origional quarters cut out 2 inches higher so wheel clearance won't be to big of a problem. I also checked to see what the origional ground designs CRX used for rims and it was 18s, 10 in the rear and 8.5 in the front but they have a 5lug conversion
http://www.lowridereuromagazin...widow/
The the new quarters are wider (close to 4.5 from factory and 2 in wider than the front fenders). The car is along further than in my webshots...havnt updated that in a while. I am making this car to advertise my body shop so i'm not too concerned about performance right now; even though i removed the transmition and had some work done to that; i'm looking at an engine swap sometime in the future too. I wouldnt consider myself a 'ricer' I've been into muscle cars for sometime
Heres one of my Chevelles

I chose to make a honda show car since they are popular in my area- hope to get some 'ricer' buissness.

Well sinced most people use the integra arms for a big brake upgrade....The integra type-r arms might fit.

*edit* type r suspension has different geometry.
I have read that the integra arms can be modified very easily to 5-lug.

heres a link

wider wheels are good, but if they were going to be staggered you'd put the wider ones in the front- civics are ff...

that's what ukdm crx was correctly pointing out. and 18's are way to big. even if you somehow like the way they look (i'm not into body kits and crazy big wheels), it's going to kill the ride, handling, and straight line performance.
