all suppliers seem to have these (cold air intakes) off the radar due to age. i may decide to build one out of mandrel bend exhaust tubing and insulate it.

any one see one for sale from a commercial source recently or have or know of a used one?

I've got a spare SI intake manifold as well as two carbed intake manifolds. Shoot me a message if you would like to buy one.

The other option is to gut the bottom of the air box leaving only enough to get the air filter to seal. It may not yield the most total power, but it is the best bang for the buck.

 

If you are looking to do a filter-on-a-stick type intake you can use one from a 5th gen civic you just have to reverse it. There are a few threads on this subject on Red Pepper as seen here: http://www.redpepperracing.com...ntake
