Walbro 190lph fuel pump
Hey everybody, I just recently purchased a walbro in-tank fuel pump from a h-t member, and it didn't come with the rubber piece that goes on the end of the pump, or the wire harness for the power leads. I need to know if i have to have these pieces, and if so where can i get them.
TIA

you can switch anything over from the stock pump onto the walbro that is needed and you have to splice the 2 wires into your 2 wires. unless you have some male and female connectors to use.
i didnt solder them i just stripped 2 inches of each wire and twisted them tight. used electrical heat shrinks as opposed to electrical tape..

Well, the pump has a female connection for a plug that is supposed to come with the pump. We did an install in my brothers crx, but that was for a 255, and we had to use the supplied harness and rubber ends to make it work, but i want to know if the 190 is any different
and also if anyone knows where I can buy these parts seperately, or if they have the phone number for walbro.

Not true. It's quite a bit different from stock. You will need the rubber base as well as the wiring harness. The 190lph and 255lph pump both use the same bodies.

i just did one about a couple weeks on one of my CRXs. it's like this.. cut 2 wires(+ & -), unplug the 2 fuel lines, unbolt about 6-8 bolts, pull pump out, switch top hat and rubber gasket, wire them 2 wires up (solder or heatshrink electrical wrap), drop pump back into tank, put both rubber lines back on before bolting the pump back on(pressure from bolting down tophat of pump will make gas come out of the tank through hard fuel lines and gas will go everywhere). prop tank back up, place 2 metal straps across the bottom of tank and tighten them nuts on each side, make sure the tank towards the front of car is tight up against the body of car.
i cant stress out how many times i have done this. i would say 15 times in my lifetime on an 88-91 civic/crx alone.

you can do without the harness. and the rubber base you can switch with your stock bump like i said.
