widest tire in an eg chassis?
Just curious,
how much tire can I stuff under my hatches fenders?
I figured you RR/A would know best of all.
ride height is dropped down to the tire currently, no tuck, but no gap either..
well maybe a lil tuck in the back, but if I had it my way there would be none.
fenders would be rolled as far as possible, but not cut.
hopefully 15x7.5 rim.. but chances are it'll end up being 15x7(gotta be realistic)

Currently for autoX I'm running Hoosier 225/45 15's on a 7" wide wheel with no rub problems.
Is this for a street car or for a track car?
Christian, who did run 235's for a while... on 13" wheels

Are your fenders rolled? I'm looking into getting wider tires, but was thinking about sticking to a 215.

Yep. They're rolled front and rear and the wheels I'm using are some of the recent close-out ATS Complites. 15x7 with a 43 offset. You shouldn't have any problems fitting 215 street tires as the 225 Hoosiers are fairly wide for their "official" size...

I also had 225 45 15 hoosiers on my civic. The fenders did need to be rolled. The only time i ever got an rubbing was at full lock on the steering and this was usually due to me entering turns at the wrong angle and with too much speed trying to jerk the car around. They actually worked great.
