AEM CAI
I did a reply to someone's post recently about this intake. Currently, I'm using an AEM CAI. Someone in a post had mentioned that they modified they're CAI by cutting it, making it a short ram. And I must say that after cleaning my filter over the weekend, I'm seriously considering doing this. It was ABSOLUTELY filthey. I basically want to relocate the filter away from the fender area and back into the engine bay. Until I can afford a Comptech ICE Box, I'm probably going to run this configuration. I was hoping to get some impressions from people that have experienced how the B18C5 behaves when running a CAI setup, as opposed to running a short ram setup. And I figured that if a CAI setup was desired again, you could always take some 3" silicone hose, 2 hose clamps, and have full length CAI again. Any opinions/comments welcome!

My friend did this to his gsr. We live in Florida and it rains alot, so he takes the extension off when there is excessive rain. But... You can really feel the difference between the two. IMO, if the filter is really dirty its doing its job, just make sure you clean it alot.
Follow the instructions in the K&N recharge kit!
1.Wet filter with cleaner, let sit.
2.Using LOW pressure water, thouroughly rinse filter. (From the inside out)
3.Let filter air dry overnight.
4.Run a trail of K&N oil up each pleat on entire filter.
5.Let oil absorbe and touch up any spots that aren't red.
Done!
