Default Does my car seem slow to you guys?

I have a 1995 Acura Integra LS. Its got a JDM GSR Engine, Skunk2 Pro Series Intake Manifold, DC Sports 4-1 Header, AEM Intake, CTR Intake Cam, a chipped P28 for my setup, Y21 B16A tranny with a Kaaz LSD, 7.5 LB Fidanza Flywheel and a Exedy Stage 1 Clutch. I havent got to make it to a strip yet, (the one I go to go shut down for a year) but Ill run right with a car that runs 15.6. To me for what all I have done it sounds really slow to me. I ran a 16.28 with a 2.34 60ft with my LS with Intake and exhaust missing a gear. I know its got a vacuum leak, and its running open header with a test pipe (no exhaust). Is there anyone with a similar setup with faster times?

The motor seems to run really strong (215 and 225 lbs of compression across), it does not burn oil, ect. What should I be running? My car weighs with me in it 2630. Im at 3000 ft of elevation. Thanks guys for helping me out on this.

Ditch the P28 or socket it, get Hondata, some injectors and tuning... You'll see a difference then...

that or check ur timing, if the cams have been messed with that could be it and would really be hindering power output.

the injectors are fine. you need tuning for that cam though, i bet your timing is a little off. also, how do you know you run right with a 15.6 sec car? it's hard to get a good comparison on the street. my old roomate had a sohc eg coupe running 15.3, and he was dead even with my h22 sol until 3rd on the street, and even then it didn't feel like I was pulling him as hard as I should. I run 13.8's. Take it to the track and see what it runs.

I know my cam timing is correct. Im not sure if the ignition timing is right on. Im having a idle problem, so I cant get it to idle where its supposed to be to adjust the timing. Im pretty sure the 240cc injectors are plenty for what I got so far. Im shifting it at 8000 and launching at 5000. Should I shift it higher maybe? Just looking for some more opinions.

im surprised nobodys picked up on the fact your using open headers.... compression in the exaust will help with that low end tq. your missing out on, alsow i agree with the ecu issue, hondata, or even somthing as simple as a chip will make all the other stuff come together a little better

Its not just a regular P28. What he did (ECU Hacker) is reprogrammed it for DOHC VTEC setup, so when im not in vtec its like good gas mileage maps then in VTEC it goes to "race" type maps. He said he was going to set it all up for my exact engine, mods, ect.

Thats it? Just looking around on HT here, it seems most stock GSR's run around mid to low 15s. With all that done it will hit a high 14?

huh? you gain horspower and torque open header....i've always run open header on all my engines...you may lose some at 2000-3000 rpm...but your racing, not driving to the grocery store...

Well I my base question was, does my car seem slow for what it has done. My friends 93 Civic with a GSR Swap ran 14.8 on with a 2.5 60ft. He just had I H E and the CTR Intake cam. My Teg has got a, I H E, IM, ECU, B16A tranny, Higher CR, CTR Intake Cam LSD, and hopefully slicks here soon. I just dont understand why mine is so much slower with more mods. I mean his was lighter. But ive got stuff to make up for that, I would guess? Anyone else?

driver has a lot to do with how fast a car is also that setup should be good for low to mid 14's the way it is i would try to see if the timing is off or take it to a dyno and get it tuned may not be running as well as u think it is

Do you mean ignition timing? How much would that affect? How much can it be off?
