45 series tires on 15's ?
i heard something about their air inside. if there is too little, the tires will heat up but they will get too hot or something like that. stick to the 50's
its generally
15"=50
16"=45
17"=40
p.s. i am not saying that is for everybody.

What size did you have in mind?? 215/45, 205/45?? To my knowledge, those sizes don't exist.
There is such a thing as a 195/45R15, but according to specs I can access, it's a full 1.5" smaller in diameter than a 195/55R15. That's a pretty considerable difference...I would expect that to look goofy.
What EMPATHY was getting at with his post was that the load index of the tire in a smaller size is less than stock. This means that the maximum load you are able to safely carry is less than w/a stock size. It is generally a good idea to make sure that your load index is the same as the tires you are replacing.
If you have any more questions let me know. Right now I'm running 195/50R15's on my stock Si wheels and it looks good.

I have 195/45s on both of my Civics. I use them to go lower and avoid rubbing. The load rating is lower than the weight of the cars, but I'm not too concerned about it.

225-45-15 is a popular R comp on DC2 and EG. People have been waiting for two years for the Toyo RA1 in that size to hit.
