Default turbo z6, what size bfg drag radials?

Hey, i have a stock d16z6 with the greddy turbo kit on 8 psi(around 180-190 whp)
I'm pretty set on getting BFG G-force drag radials. I have some 91 ls wheels(14x6.5) and some 15x8 american racing wheels(got em really cheap). What rim would be better?the lighter one? What size tire should i be running?I was thinking 24 inch diameter would be nice. I used a tire calculator and came up with the following diameters:
205/50/14=22.07
215/60/14=24.16
205/50/15=23.07
225/50/15=23.86

What does everybody suggest for me?

okay, with a good tune and on 10-11 psi i plan on having around 200whp, would a 23 inch diameter tire still be sufficient?I'm not really sure what those 15's weigh either, so I dont know if it'd be a good idea to use them. thanks for the help

I found the 15x8 wheels weigh about 18 lbs. I found this by weighin myself on a digital scale, then pickin up the wheel and re-weighing my self. Also, the 91 ls wheels weigh about 15 .5 lbs and are 14x5.5
the 15's=

the 14's=

should i use the 15's?

Stay away from 24s, thats way too tall for a single cam unless you are making big power...22s or23s wil be just fine..

so would you say go with the 14's for higher hp and 15's for lower hp? i know the section width is the same on both but does side wall height really make any difference besides gearing, on a drag radial??

id say for 250 whp and under 205/50 is perfect, then 250+ go with 225/50 or 215/60

I think what they are trying to say -

Stick with close to the stock tire size to around 250hp. Anything higher would need a higher final drive (taller tire) to help with traction woes and keeping it out of 5th gear at the end of the strip.

So in your case -

Use the heavier 15" wheel and BFG 205/50-15 tires.

i would tell you to try the 215/60/14r, i'm using them on my low 200(less than 210 lol)whp engine. i have gatten two 1.9 60' times, but the tire is too big for the power i'm puting to the wheels. it's like running a 24.5" slick, since they are 24.2" tall. i think these tires will fit your set up just right, as you'll be able to put most of your power to the ground without over powering the tires!
