Which O2 sim works?
I've searched all over this board, and everywhere I read somebody says that that design o2 sim doesn't work. Can anybody tell me which one works and which one doesn't?
do you happen to know what's inside of it? I would figure it would be like a 25 ohm resistor or some **** like that so that 12v would be trasfered to constant .46v something close enough to fool the computer that cat is working fine.
i dont have the slighest clue as to what is in it. i paid $29.99 with shipping and installed it and it works. i really dont want to open it and screw it up. the site for it may have some info on it but not sure
Doesn't work that way...
During cruising conditions, the rear O2 generally hangs around .6-.8v (indicating a rich condition, or rather, a condition lacking air which means the catalytic converter seems to be using the air to do its job).
On a decel, with throttle closed, both O2's go dead lean - so how would your resistor trick work there?
Look at the ECG Simulator and the sensors that it taps into - the rear O2 signal needs to show change based on other sensor inputs.

A friend has this prob right now, and the o2 sim didn't work at all. I heard it works fine on obd1 cars, if you want to replace your only o2. OBD2 is nothing but problems from what i've read.
