the guy i bought it from did a horrible job and fixing the rust w/ fiber glass as you can see. u guyz think i should put money into and engine swap and put money towards the body?? right now its jus a daily driver

hahahahahahhaha..looks just like my hatch..lol. im taking my car to the body shop to get some metal welded instead. i would fix it.

my friend ash had a crx with WAY worse rust than that and he cut out the rust and welded some metal and smoothed it out... its perfect now

i'm glad i found this thread...

my bf's car has pretty bad rust on his trunk...you guys are suggesting to fix it. how would he go about doing that? because we were just going to get a new trunk....but this seems like the *hopefully* cheaper option...

Right on the trunk lid? If so, replacing it with a new or used lid is probably best. If he doesn't want to mess with paint, finding one of the same color and good condition will be a SOB...anything other then bondo is always good.

it's like on the edge and it's moving towards the bumper too. it's a 92 4 door DA. sucks. well i guess he's gonna have to get a new trunk, the rust has gotten pretty bad. thanks
