oil temp gauge

Default oil temp gauge

i am getting ready to install a oil temp gauge in my 2000 civic whats the best place too put it

If it's mechanical, back in the box with a "return to sender" stamp on it. (kidding)

Put it wherever you want so that you can stills see it without taking your eyes completely off the road.

off the oil sending unit on the back of the block. put a T in and connect the stock sensor and the gauge.

install it in the oil pan that is the only correct way. Coming off the sending unit will
give incorrect temp readings

Yeah oil pan is the best place.

Not trying to be an ***, but why?

I am trying to get the pros/cons of each, other than the oil line in the engine bay!

mechanical guages are best. regardless of what people say, there is NO oil being plumbed into the cabin with an oil temp guage. i have run mechanical for years, and will continue to do so.
