ok here we go i have a 91 civic hatch dx now with a zc i changed the whole wiring harness to a full si, out of an 89 si. now it wont turn over everything is hooked up ecu turns on main relay clicks, but the fuel pump wont turn on and the car wont turnover at all, i jumped the starter and it turns over but wont start cause no fuel, i am complety stuck i have no idea what to do. already searched. PLEASE HELP. thanks
the si harness came out of the car with the zc running it was my buddies car and i have the si comp in reads a code 20 but the car was 5spd even the vin # states it was a 5 spd , i even tried the 89 ignigtion wiring for the key and i tried swapin tha comp to ls one no codes but the car doesnt turn over at all no starter i dont get it.
well first of all, you need to find yourself a stock dx harness, pull off your si harness u replaced, send both of them to http://www.rywire.com/index.shtml , they will rewire your harness so that everything runs smooth. the reason why it isnt turning over is because theres two connector pins in your ecu plugs that have to be de-pined and re-pinned at different locations. also, the distributor needs to be rewired andu most likely need to use an si sizzy. make sure you get a dx harness and rewire that one because if u just try it with a si harness, it will never turn over, i struggled just like you for over 3 months and i finally took it into the shop and i ended up paying like 500 bills for re-wiring the harness, rywire only does it for like 160 i believe, its worth it.

mpfi swap use all the dx stuff...takes a bit of wiring but worth it. Take it to the shop isn't the answer for problems on HT it is about DIY stuff. Funny thing is the people doing the wiring there or anywere get the info from people here.

but the starter wont turn the car over the starter works cause i jumped the termanals and it work but it wont turn over from the key everything turns like ecu, main relay clicks but no starter and no fuel pump.
k there is a ground on the thermostat housing. It is a 10 mm, that is the ground for alot of stuff like the fuel pump. For the starter it has the big wire going to the battery and the small one comes off the wiring harness. Make sure all those are connected.
As far as the wiring harness you used the full harness on the motor AND inside the car??? If you swapped the in car harness out with the other one you should be good to go. Figure out the starter and the fuel pump then after it is cranking over go from there.
