well first of all, you need to find yourself a stock dx harness, pull off your si harness u replaced, send both of them to http://www.rywire.com/index.shtml , they will rewire your harness so that everything runs smooth. the reason why it isnt turning over is because theres two connector pins in your ecu plugs that have to be de-pined and re-pinned at different locations. also, the distributor needs to be rewired andu most likely need to use an si sizzy. make sure you get a dx harness and rewire that one because if u just try it with a si harness, it will never turn over, i struggled just like you for over 3 months and i finally took it into the shop and i ended up paying like 500 bills for re-wiring the harness, rywire only does it for like 160 i believe, its worth it.

mpfi swap use all the dx stuff...takes a bit of wiring but worth it. Take it to the shop isn't the answer for problems on HT it is about DIY stuff. Funny thing is the people doing the wiring there or anywere get the info from people here.

k there is a ground on the thermostat housing. It is a 10 mm, that is the ground for alot of stuff like the fuel pump. For the starter it has the big wire going to the battery and the small one comes off the wiring harness. Make sure all those are connected.

As far as the wiring harness you used the full harness on the motor AND inside the car??? If you swapped the in car harness out with the other one you should be good to go. Figure out the starter and the fuel pump then after it is cranking over go from there.
