what cams?
some cheaper valvesprings/retainers can withstand the lift and high rpms
of certain cams

Hey Mike, remember I asked you... on the inner springs, the yellow intake springs seems to be *softer* than the exhaust side. But this is based on my fingers, not a spring tester. I thought you agreed? No?
Skunk2 valvesprings are retainers are $385 shipped from me.

Since the intake and exhaust valve weight the same the required spring rates for the two are going to be determined by the cam profile for each.
Now the exhaust cam is almost always milder then the intake cam (as is the case with the stock cams) so it stands to reason that the exhaust springs should be softer then the intake springs (as a set).
In fact this can clearly be proven with the stock springs because the exhaust springs on the R are the same springs used on the GSR intake, also the GSR uses a single spring on the exhaust. Obviously the stock intake spring sets are stiffer then the exhaust. By how much? Don't know...
