Default Quality v.s. Budget JDM Type R Lips

What is the general concencus on aftermarket jdm lips to OEM ones. Not in style but in quality. This does not include carbon, just OEM v.s. OEM replica. How bad are the fakes???? Is it worth fork'n out the extra cash for true OEM or are the reps ok quality???

Nothing beats OEM quality as I have learned after breaking 2 replica lips but there are good companys out there that make a decent replica. If you dont mind having a knockoff get one and save some money. I have never had any bad fitment problems.

It's so hard to find a good replica these days. Comptech sells one that is actually produced by Wings West, but they run around $250 (urethane) which is more than what I used one goes for. Many companiees make ABS plastic knock-offs but the quality generally isn't there. I am sure there are some good ABS plastic ones but I don't feel like dumping the cash only to have a piece of junk. I save save up and buy a good used one. Just my two cents.

if you are talking about replica 97 lips, then they are a excellent replacement lip. It mounts up to the OEM mounting points.

I just dont want to spend money were its not needed. Kinda like buying brand name intake piping or no-name. If the OEM is a lot better then there is no question, I'll buy OEM. If I can get next to the same quality and save some, then I'd say a knock off may be a good buy. Thanks for everyones info. Keep them comming.
