AC wont blow cold. any suggestions?
For a while now my ac would make a horrendous noise when i would turn it on. this wasnt good and i realized it was because the condensor fan was hitting the metal shroud and couldnt spin freely. i was hoping that if i fixed that it would solve my problem. i went to lowes and bought some screws and tightened down the fan. it spins fine now. no more noise. the compressor switches on and off when i hit the ac button but i still get no cold air. could it be something as simple as a recharge? the only reason i think it might not be is that when the car was in the body shop on the receipt it said evac and recharge ac. any suggestions? i have an appt with honda to get it recharged anyway.
evac means they let the ac out safely and recharged me recharged...maybe they didnt get a good charge in and thats why its not cold..does the ac condensor belt spin...or is it slipping in any way u can see?
take it back to the shop and tell them how fast your a/c went out, and see if they will refill it again, if it is cold, but then looses all the a/c in a few weeks or so, then u got a whole in one of your a/c lines.
A/C? What's that?
Probably just needs recharged. If you need any A/C parts, let me know. I ripped mine out and would like to get rid of it. PM me if you're interested. I have ALL the parts.
