Default Shift linkage pin

Anyone know the easiest way to remove the "bitch" pin from a 5th gen civic> (z6) Is their a particular size punch you need?

bring 1 of your friends over that knows what there doing give them a beer and they will get it out or just fit a punch in there and beat the mother ****** out!thats what i did

No. Use an air hammer with a 7mm punch tool in it and be done....quickly.

use your bolt from your ac compressor... take one of the ones out that holds it to the bracket.. they work wonders

that is much more trouble than just pounding that pin out. it's not that difficult just get the 8mm punch and a BFH and give it hell.

removing the shift linkage out is pretty easy i find, just undo the two bolts that hold it in, take off your shiftknob and pull it down.

but if u stillw anna go the pin route, when all else fails, get a bigger hammer

Removing the linkage isn't that hard at all. I've never tried to remove the bitch pin, but from what everyone says, I rather pull the linkage.

^^^Yeah, but when you try to remove the engine, you'll have to jack the car up way too far so you dont bend the linkage.

not if you drop the enigne from the bottom... its easier going from the bottom anyways... i never knew someone who went in from the top
