Skunk 2 or Apexi
I am looking to buy an exhaust for my 96 Honda Accord 4 door LX Sedan. I can buy a Apexi World Sport 2 for 400 shipped off eBay or i can buy a skunk for like 450? which one do you guys recommend. I am looking for a good exhaust that will give me good performace but that is super quiet.

you might be able to get a better deal right here at home than going through a 'maybe' vendor on ebay. I have issues with ebay although i use it all the time, if i find a vendor with one negative rating i make sure i do my homework, one published unhappy customer is a bad thing.

The Skunk 2 is all stainless also but no where near super quiet infact I would call it super loud. I was faced with this choice a month or so ago and wanted the Apexi WS I as I liked how it looked but didn't really like the WSII. I ended up not being able to find one and a deal on eBay fell through. I then started looking around for other exhausts. I have always wanted a Apexi N1 welded onto custom piping but they are too loud and it got expensive and still not stainless steel piping when I had a muffler shop bend piping or I could buy it through Kteller but still cost a lot more than I wanted to pay. I decided I didn't want the WSII and thought about Greddy as I have had friends that have them and like them and heard decent things on here. Well I couldn't find any Greddy that I liked the looks of at all kind of like the WSII so I decided I was going to go with something else. I then started reading about the Skunk 2 as a guy 2 houses down had one. At first his seemed really loud but then after he had it a while it didn't seem as loud from when I have heard him going up the road well I Think he was just barely ideling then. With research I found the Invidia and Skunk2 were basically the same exhaust so decided to buy the Invidia as I could get it cheaper. Well it got here and I put it on soon after I recieved it. I fired it up and couldn't believe how loud it was. I mean going down the road the seats would shake and the mirrors looked like they were going to fall off around 2,500-3,500 RPM's it was ridiculous. It sounded pretty good though it just was too loud. I decided to put the silencer in. I did with the bolt supplied and drove up the road and the thing fell out the back as the bolt came loose. I guess I didn't tighten it enough. I got the silencer couldn't find the bolt and went to lowes and bought a longer bolt and put a lock washer on it and a regular nut then a lock nut. It holds it in fine and with the silencer it sounds really good I think and is a good level. I wanted quiet but not as quiet as the factory one and wanted to be able to hear it. I'm not huge on the way the silencer looks but it isn't that bad. It still isn't that quiet but not as bad. I mean you can hear it inside the car and especially with the windows down. It doesn't drown out the music though like it does without it. It's still a little loud but I like how it sounds now it's about like I wanted it to. Sounds more like a motorcycle with a stock pipe to me now not quite that loud. It still isn't quiet though if thats what you really want. I like it a lot though. One thing I like is it comes out at a slight angle which I love how they look coming out at an angle I think the difference between the skunk 2 and invidia is the Skunk 2 may come straight out but I'm not sure one pic I saw had it coming straight out though other than that they are supposed to be the same. I would reccomend the Invidia/Skunk2 if you don't mind loud plus it is all stainless and looks good neither of which you can say about the Apexi WSII although some think it looks good it seems to be personal opinion. I personally don't like the Greddy look at all but others seem to so you may. I would go with the Invidia/Skunk2 out of those two posted above though. Raceinspired.com has the Invidia you can get it slightly cheaper than $450 shipped or cheaper if you go through HT as they are a sponser. I'm wearry of spending that much on eBay but it is up to you.

honestly, the differences between teh WSII and the Skunk2 are major....complete different muffler desgin, different metals used, and thusly complete different sound (yea, we all know how it looks and sounds isnt why you get an exhaust....but in the long run that can be the deciding factor)

so does the greddy evo2, if you were wondering. I have one with stock springs and have scraped it a couple of times. The muffler and tip are HUGE
