Default painting- have some questions

valve cover,

is the aircraft remover a spray?

when i strip the stock black wrinkle paint off the valve cover with the aircraft remover do i put vasoline on the letters? or do i only need to do that when start to polish/paint it?

how long do you have to wait after you polish it before its safe to drive with it on?

also what grit? do i start low (200-300) and go up to (700-800)?

i have a few questions too. what about sanding it down after stipping the paint? how do you mask off the holes (like spark plug holes, oil cap...etc)

oh yeah, also when you spray the aircraft remover on do you need to mask the areas off or only when you're painting?
