Yeah, you can definitely get more power out of a snail! I might be a little biased but in my opinion super chargers don't really compare to snail'ed motors on low displacement motors.
I have personally ridden in Cody Loveland's boosted s2000, and its freakin great! Insta-boost that pulls all the way. Check it out, http://www.lovefabinc.com

It really depends on what you want to do with the car. With the turbo, you're gonna get more power sooner. There is definitely more cost issue with the turbo. You will need to spend the time and money to get it tuned properly. The SC is pretty much bolt-on and go.
its a daily driver but i like to do alot of road racing, Im taking it to beaver run this summer. if i got a turbo kit , what would be the best kit, size, type. i definitely dont want somethin that would make the s2k lag even more.

look into the supercharger
if you want turbo you will want to run a setup that makes boost at low rpm's...
lovefab makes a very nice, and streetable turbo kit...check it out...

i RR my car alot. I don't know of many that road race regularly who are SC'd. There is no need for SC on a road course. If you can drive, you're pretty damn fast as I have learned. I will do no more than IHE, tuning, suspension mods just because I want track reliability.
