Default Need Some opinion for my d15b7

ok, i just bought my first car the other day, a 95 civic ex, BUT it had a d15b7 swap in it cuz the other motor locked up or some bs the guy said. Anyways, i need some advice before i start dumping money into my car. I am only making $250 a week just so you get an idea of my budget. A couple things on my mind are as follows. swap to a d16 head, swap to d16 head and turbo, or just build my d15b7. Also, how much does it cost to do a custom turbo? Thanks

Do a Mini-Me, then turbo it. Only way you'll see power gains. The D16Z6 head has more aftermarket support than the D15B7 cylinder head.

the first upgrade you should do is a tranny d16z6 or d16y8, it makes a huge difference, its the best first upgrade u can do to your d15b7, trust me

Keep the B7, no mini me, no tranny, just turbo.

Trust me, I've done all of them. Just turbo the damn thing. It can hold 160-170 HP safely.

Don't you have more gains on a Mini-Me turbo? Is this not what you run?

Well I did the mini me, then the tranny swap, then the turbo. And the upgrade to the turbo was light years ahead of the difference I felt when I did the mini-me swap. So I just tell people to cut the crap and turbo it first

So you're saying the D15B7 is significantly better than the D16Z6 when it comes to boost, both motors stock?

I think he is trying to say stop tinkering around with the motor dumping alittle money here alittle money there and only getting small HP gains and to just turbo it. Cuz with the ammount that you spend on small ****, you could of just bought a turbo in the first place and still have more HP gains than all the other **** you bought
