Default 96 civic ex coupe, broken into, know the value of this stuff?

how much would the steering column be worth ( a professionally installed replacement)?

if your talking about a shop getting the parts and installing they will charge you way to much. airbags are expensive. read up on here and do it yourself. you will save a lot of money

So true, this site has allowed me to do a lot of repairs on my car. Do it yourself.

1. You'll learn something.
2. It's fun.
3. You save money.

I agree...Do it yourself, but you can go to http://www.car-part.com and it is a listing of all junkyards in your immediate area (anywhere in US) and you can get all the parts there for really cheap!!! I would do it myself if that was the only damage...

Maybe look for Sponsors here on H-T with connections on Stock honda parts!

Look into a good alarm as well!

I have two complete steering columns. PM me if you want one. You can have it if you pay for shipping (you'll have to get your own steering wheel and airbag, and ignition, other than that, it's ready to be installed).

well, got the honda dealership's estimate for parts, $1,369.12. my car is still infront of my house, so i will have to have it towed in order to get an estimate on the labor. Luckly my insurance will cover this. I am tempted to part out my car and use the insurance money for a down payment on a 240sx.

Thanks for the help.

I was in the same boat as you, somebody stole my airbags. I got a set for 300 from a junkyard. Or you could buy a block off tray for the passenger side and a new wheel sans air bag.
