well..........i have a 2000 coupe civic ex with stock engine and i dont like the metal valve cover that says 'honda' i want to repaint it but this is my first time doinganything like this. what are soem precautions i should take. im a car noob btw

 

just cover where the valve cover used to b when u take it off, so no dirt or anythign gets in there, i took a garbage bag, and didnt open it, just laid it over the engine, and taped it down around th engine... O and make sure u put the seal on correctly. along w/ spark plug wires, and if u sand blast the thang, clean it really really good, and make sure u get the inside of the vavle cover where the breather hose goes to, incase dust gets in there.
